2013 Draft comes to an end

The 2013 SFL App Cup draft has come to an end with the draft of Mr Irrelevant Markus Wheaton out of Oregon State. The SFL draft followed the NFL draft quite closely but unlike the NFL Giants the SFL
SFL Mr Irrelevant Markus Wheaton
champion Deadbeats, through a system of clever back room deals and frantic phone calls, managed to draft five new players. Predictions are that they will cement their dynasty and continue to dominate the league for years to come.

Miracles and Domination agree to trade

The Miracles have traded WR SE Jeremy Maclin, (Eagles) (ouchie!) and WR FL Malcolm Floyd, (Chargers) to Domination for their final round rookie selection of 2013.
Miracles GM, President, Secretary, Waterboy, Administrative Assistant, and Cheeerleader, Matt Ruckdeschel, had this to say about Maclin, "Well it always hurts letting go of a youthful guy who's ready to rock and roll.
Jeremy Maclin
"He should be in for a great season under new Eagles coach Chip Kelly, and we felt now was the right time to move him if we could so he can start somewhere else.
Malcolm Floyd
"It's very difficult to get ahead of AJ on the depth chart here... and being a huge fan of Maclin and the Eagles, we feel Jeremy will excel once removed from the Miracles' curse that seems to overwhelm our receiving corps.
"We wish him well."
When asked about having to give up Malcolm Floyd as well, the response was not so kind hearted- "Floyd?  He's not an Eagle soooooo...  See ya!".

Second round coming to a rapid close

With the second round coming to a fast finish it's worth a look at who teams are selecting. A great place to start is with the Ambassadors who picked up an additional gifted receiver for legendary QB Payton Manning. According to a team source Manning was heard to say, "Listen coach, I need just ONE MORE weapon to get that elusive Strato championship."  Within minutes owner/coach Will Smith had selected the speedy wideout.
