The defending and eight-time App Cup champion Townville Deadbeats have traded star TE Rob Gronkowski. Team manager Zak Oberrath said health was a major concern.
Gronkowski traded, health issues sited.

"Our thanks to Gronkowski but we just don't think he can stay healthy," Oberrath said.
The Deadbeats traded Gronkowski to the Headbangers for the Headbangers' second round rookie this year and sleeper next year.

What's in a name?

You can call me Ray or you can call me Jay.....
For those who remember the 1970s, or was it the early 80s? that  phrase might make sense. For the youngsters who play COD see the link below.
Marlton Johnson is a bad ass nerd
The official news release said:
"After careful consideration of various options, which included current baseball league name "The Next Generation" and the Three Dog Night and Manning QB themed "Eli's Slumming" (which I really liked but will inevitably not make sense at some point), I have decided to name my team...

The Marlton Johnsons

Three things to explan this name:
1) I live in Marlton, NJ;
2) Johnsons are always funny; and

Thanks

He's a Rebel, will he ever be any good?

You can believe it, Xavier Rhodes the Florida State D back is a hot pick and he's on his way to Ashburn. There he will join the likes of Leon Hall and Jimmy Smith competing for a place in the Rebels' secondary.
Xavier Rhodes, right, gets on his Urkel with Fl State team mate Ronald Darby

You would be forgiven if you thought the Rebels drafted Steve Urkel, instead of one tough DB.

An Old School Quack Attack

Old school has taken on Dion Jordan DE Oregon. Jordan, who moved from TE to DE on Chip Kelly's defense, will need to put on some bulk for the SFL but is known as a determined player. Jordan overcame injuries received in a house fire during his senior year in high school to shine for the Ducks.

Domination call on Longhorn for secondary needs

Dormont Domination manager, Eric Smochek, looks at shuring up his secondary with the addition of Texas DB Kenny Vaccarro. Domination left their decision to the last minute due to what has been described by insiders as "personal issues" between Smochek and some local rampaging vikings.

Kenny Vaccarro a welcome addition to Dormont
"I would like to say I spent all day in quiet contemplation and studying all of the angles - but I really just fell asleep while putting the marauders down for the night," he said.

Rampaging vikings have caused a delay in Smochek's decision making a team spokesman said.
